Why a trans/non-binary specific zine?
The purpose of this zine is to create an uplifting and positive environment for people to share their headcanons and art. There are often attempts to isolate, ignore, or remove trans content and headcanons in zine and fandom culture under the guise of “keeping to canon,” so the point of this is specifically to celebrate and uplift that content. Cis characters are not banned, but will not be the focus of this zine.

What kind of content is allowed in this zine?
Art, writing, and cosplay are all welcome. However, if you are submitting a cosplay, we ask that you respect local COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Will minors be allowed to contribute?
While we expect at least a portion of our content to be SFW, we will not be hosting any minors as moderators or contributors.

What is the requirement for content for this zine?
At this time, the goal is to include trans and non-binary depictions of at least one character per work. Should you wish to include more than one character, only one of these characters must actually fall on the trans or non-binary spectrum. However, the trans/enby character must be the focus.

What constitutes as trans/non-binary?
There is no set boundary or requirement for how you depict a trans or non-binary character. We understand that while trans is often an umbrella term that includes non-binary identities, it doesn’t encompass all of them and that some people on the non-binary spectrum do not include themselves under the trans umbrella. Gender is a spectrum and it’s not ours or anyone’s job to tell you whether or not your identity or your gender headcanons are valid, but please know that they are, and they’re encouraged and welcomed on this project.

Does content for this zine have to include trauma or mentions of struggling with things like transphobia or identity?
No. Your work does not have to go into explicit detail of harrowing experiences. Everyone’s experience with their gender identity is different and writing about that trauma may trigger someone. You are welcome to tell the story you want to without having to include real life allegories or personal experiences. However, it’s important to note that some people have gone through those experiences and may include those themes in their content. Every piece will include content warnings for potential triggers should they apply.

Will SFW and NSFW content be published together?
We expect that most contributors will choose to do NSFW works. Any few SFW pieces are likely to be put in the same PDF as the other pieces. This is subject to change if the split between SFW and NSFW content is more even than expected.

Can I include OCs?
No, we will not be featuring OCs in this zine.

Are any ships or content prohibited?
We will not host any shota or loli content, but all other ships are welcome! As stated previously, all content will have warnings for potential triggers should they apply.

NSFW content featuring Klee, Diona, Qiqi, Sayu, or Paimon will not be allowed
